Week of Sept. 24-28
Grade 9 will be having a quiz on short story theory and vocabulary words. We shall be working on the short story "Borders."

Grade 11 will be working on paraphrase of "Birches," by Robert Frost, which must be passed in by Friday. This assignment is for marks. First draft of poems should be passed in as well. We are preparing in class for a critical analysis of poetry.

Grade 12: Test on Monday on first two literary periods. Notes on Period III, The Age of Chaucer will be given, and a quiz on the first three periods will be on Friday. Students are beginning a reading of the Prologue of Canterbury Tales.
Paraphrase of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight must be passed in by Friday.

12 Journalism: The Ferry story is now late. The story on last Friday's assembly is due this week. Quiz on Journalizm terms Wednesday.

Week of September 17-21
Grade 12: Study notes on the first two literary periods. Quiz on Wednesday, Test on Friday. Paraphrase Due Monday, 24th.
Grade 11: First lyrical poem is Due Tuesday, Sept. 18th.
Grade 9 English: Study notes on narrative: Elements of a short story; parts of a plot; notes on Character development. Review word of the day. Quiz on Friday on Short Story notes.
Journalism: Study journalistic terms. Essay on Journalistic Ethics may be corrected for a beter grade. Story on Ferry due Tuesday, Sept. 18th. Study for quiz on journalistic terms, for Monday, 24th.
